Preparing the card
Making a card is the easiest thing. You only need one sheet of A4 to fold in the middle! If you want your card to be more solid, use cardboard instead of paper. You can also give it a specific shape. If, for example, your child loves dogs, why not have the card look like one of his hairy friends? You only have to draw a dog on one side of the folded paper and then cut it around the border. Just be careful not to accidentally cut the point where the paper folds in two!
Time to make it pretty
When the card is ready, decorate it with your child. You can color it together or have the child add on their favorite stickers. Whatever your child wants to do, you can encourage it! This is how they expresses their creativity!
Let's go see the grandparents!
Before visiting grandparents, why not get them a gift? Buy them a cake or some pastries they like and accompany the box with a card! Let them know, however, that the child has prepared a card specifically for them so they can embrace their grandchildren as soon as they arrive!
Photograph grandparents' expressions when they open the card - and your child's reactions as soon as they see them happy! This way we can share the joy too!
By playing at grandparents' home, your child will feel closer to them and get to know them better. The affectionate presence of grandparents, that is, adults other than mom and dad, is extremely beneficial to the child's emotional development. Also, interacting with your grandparents sharpens your child's social ability.
